Unallocated payments by Residents or Businesses paid into Municipal Bank Account

Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality would like to appeal to its customers who paid their municipal accounts via the internet or have made payments at the bank without writing their proper municipal account numbers starting with 100…as reference, and inactive/closed municipal accounts with credit balances older than three (3) years, to come forward and claim these deposits and credits.

Proof of such payments and credits must be provided so that the municipality can do the correct allocation. Should these payments and credits not be allocated to correct customer or business accounts by 27 August 2023, these payments will be transferred to the general revenue account of the municipality as per municipal financial regulations and will be utilized for other purposes.
