PUBLIC NOTICE: Cancellation of Public Participation on Land Use By-Laws & Scheme

REVIEW & AMENDMENT OF LAND USE BY-LAWS & SCHEME
1.) Notice is hereby given to the members of the public that the public participation that was taking place from 08 September 2025 to 07 November 2025 will no longer continue as arranged.
2.) The public participation was taking place on the following two set of existing by-laws and land use scheme, namely:
- Municipal Land Use Planning By-law, 2015, as amended
- Student Accommodation By-law, 2021
- Land Use Scheme, 2021
3.) The above-mentioned by-laws and land scheme were published for public comments and inputs.
4.) Therefore, the following public consultations that were arranged on the dates as indicated hereinbelow WILL NO LONGER TAKE PLACE:
a) Botshabelo (Council Chamber):ย 14 October 2025 at 10:00 โ 12:00
b) Thaba Nchu (Civic Centre Chamber): 14 October 2025 at 13:00 โ 15:00
c) Bloemfontein (Leslie Monnanyana Hall): 16 October 2025 at 10:00 โ 12:00 and (Rose Hall, Bram Fischer Building): 16 October 2025 at 13:00 โ 15:00
d) Dewetsdorp (Municipal Boardroom): 21 October 2025 at 11:00 โ 13:00
e) Soutpan (Municipal Boardroom): 23 October 2025 at 11:00 โ 13:00
5.) The new time period for the Call for Public Comments and the dates for public hearings will be arranged and communicated to the members of the community in the near future.
