NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 116(3) OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT: MUNICIPAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT ACT, 2003 (ACT 56 OF 2003) FOR THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF EXISTING CONTRACTS
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 116 (3) (a) and (b) of the Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003) that it is the intention of the Mangaung Metro Municipality to amend the following existing contracts:

Notice is further given in terms of Section 21 and 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that the local community and affected parties are invited to submit comments or representations on the proposed amendment and extension of the existing contracts with Rakitla Construction (Pty) Ltd and Khanya Lesedi.
The reasons for the amendment and extension of the existing contracts have been considered by the Municipal Council at its Council meeting held on 30 October 2025 as per Council resolution No. 161.4 of which a copy will be made available to all interested parties on request via the e-mail address indicated below.
Such comments or representations must be submitted by not later than 3rd December 2025 at 12h00. Comments or representations must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly endorsed โCOMMENTS ON NOTICE OF AMENDMENT OF EXISTING CONTRACTโ and be physically submitted at the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality, Supply Chain Management offices located at No. 6 Mannion road, Oranjesig, Bloemfontein, 9301 and be deposited in the bid box no. C. No emailed or faxed comments shall be accepted.
Persons who are physically disabled or unable to write but need to participate in the process may present themselves during office hours at the offices of the Municipality listed above where a staff member will assist them to transcribe the relevant comments or representations.
