The review process of this Integrated Development Plan marks a significant time as the last review of this council. The process commenced with taking into consideration new developments both internal and external. The first round of public participation, via print media commenced from August 2025 till February 2026. The second phase of the process and engagements will commence post-noting of the draft IDP by Council. In improving effective oversight, we aligned the annual work plans of our municipal public account committee (MPAC) with the framework designed by the National Treasury and COGTA which provides normative guidelines for the MPACs. Mangaung is transitioning toward a focused financial and governance recovery. This final IDP review of the current council term serves as a strategic roadmap to restore the city’s status as a model of good governance.
