Residents of Soutpan – Water Interruption

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF SOUTPAN – WATER INTERRUPTION

The Mangaung Metro Municipality would like to inform the community of Soutpan that from 8 ‘o clock (28 February), there will be a 6 days water shutdown.

During this six day operation residents are advised not to drink water from the tap until the process is completed (Next week Tuesday- 6 March).

The shutdown has been necessitated by the city’s Water and Sanitation directorate cleaning of the Soutpan system. The intense plant assessment including sampling and analysis is also being done by Mangaung Metro Laboratory.

This is a joint operation between the City, Department of Water and Sanitation and Bloemwater. This is the first time that we are undertaking this type of operation since the incorporation of Soutpan to Mangaung Metro. The city will be distributing water through water tankers and residents of Soutpan. Schools and public areas will be given attention it deserves. Water Tankers will be provided as and where required. Mangaung Metro would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused. Residents will be kept updated throughout the process.
